Treating Fibromyalgia, Fatigue, Pain, Lyme Disease and Sleep Disorders through hormone therapy

Hormones are the most influential natural chemicals in the human body. They carry messages to organs and systems telling them when and how to operate, how to protect your mind and body, and how to keep your skin and bones and overall health strong. All of your bodily functions are regulated or moderated by our hormones.  In essence, they help to keep you young and vibrant.

As you age your hormones decline rapidly, and combined with chemicals we encounter on a daily basis (such as in processed foods and in our environment),  these elements contribute to disorders and diseases and accelerate your aging process. Without properly balanced hormones, your physical and mental capabilities deteriorate. This is why hormones are critical to life. Some ways we treat this deterioration include:

Bioidentical Hormone Therapy
Bioidentical Hormone Therapy (or BHRT) uses plant-derived hormones identical to ones produced by the human body. These hormones are considered "friendly" by your body, such as testosterone, estrogen, progesterone and thyroid. BHRT hormones are different from synthetic hormones because the synthetics are often modified by drug companies. BHRT hormones are made specific to each patient and prescribed by a doctor. After the treatments have started, we closely monitor the results of BHRT to ensure results that are safe and effective.

Menopause Therapy
For women, the first signs of menopause usually start in the mid-40s. Menopause symptoms are caused by a decrease in estrogen production in the ovaries. There are over 30 typical symptoms associated with menopause.

Anti-aging physicians can administer a treatment plan for women experiencing menopause symptoms, including hormone treatments and nutritional alterations. Since each patient's symptoms and bodies are different, no two menopause therapy treatments are alike. Menopausal treatments may include any combination of supplements, micro-nutrient therapy, massage and many others. Our physicians will closely monitor your body's response to menopause therapy, ensuring that your treatment is right for your body.

Testosterone Therapy
Like women, men also go through hormonal changes as they age. In their 20s and 30s, men start to lose testosterone production. Although the rate of loss is slight at 1% - 2% each year, the effects can be quite noticeable over time. This process is called andropause, or male menopause. Typical symptoms of andropause are loss of muscle, memory loss, lowered libido and higher rates of body fat, aches and pains, fractures and heart attacks. For male patients andropause therapy is a treatment plan specific to each patient's specific needs.

Fibromyalgia
Fibromyalgia is a debilitating disease described as unprovoked/unexplained muscular pain that affects of millions of people in the U.S. People that suffer from fibromyalgia experience underlying causes that are typically dismissed by many doctors, who end up treating the symptoms rather than the causes. Although once classified as a mental disorder, fibromyalgia is now treated as a serious condition of the body.

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
Chronic Fatigue is closely related to fibromyalgia, and usually people with one develop the other. Chronic fatigue is an unexplained lack of energy or weakness, unrelated to physical activity, uncaused by an underlying illness.  Like fibromyalgia, people who suffer from chronic fatigue suffer from weakness, fogginess, headaches, and lack of energy. Our Centers are able to treat fibromyalgia by discovering each individual's personal symptoms and causes. Our treatments do not include pain medication or anti-depressants.
